So I bought some Peeps. The purple bunny Peeps. I don't know what was wrong with me, thinking they might actually taste good! I popped one in my mouth and immediately wished I had somewhere to spit it out. It tasted a bit like sugar coated butter, burned butter to be exact. Ick. Being the fool that I am, I ate a few more and the taste didn't get any better. Though, I did stick the rest of the package in the freezer and that did make them better, but only because it improved the texture but didn't do much for the taste. So, I think I will stick to admiring Peeps from afar. Far, far away from my mouth.

Cory bought a snazzy blender at Target for us this weekend. Our old one was gross and we have been wanting to make smoothies lately so we decided to go ahead and buy a new one. We picked out some fruit at the grocery store: a honeydew melon, strawberries, kiwi, and a mango. Cory tried to make a kiwi strawberry smoothie with milk and vanilla yogurt. The results were horrible! Mixing two fruits with so many seeds was a bad idea. He told me to taste it and all I got was a mouthful of seeds. Yuck!

His next attempt was honeydew melon, honey, and milk (or maybe milk and yogurt?). This came out much better but too sweet because he added too much honey. I tried a similar smoothie but I added some canned pineapple (why is fresh pineapple so damn expensive?!) and I used milk, ice, about a half teaspoon of vanilla and some sugar. The taste wasn't bad but the texture was horrible. It came out all foamy and weird.

So, now my goal is to create the ultimate smoothie or shake. I am going to be shopping for fruit like it's going out of style! :)

Oh, I just remembered that a few months ago one of my blog posts included some links to smoothie recipes. I will have to go find that post and start blending!!

On another website (Nervousness.org) I was discussing Peeps with a few people and someone shared a link to Lord of the Peeps. (thanks Tana!)

Check out the movie section. It's so funny!

Peepy goodness. :)

I usually have always disliked Peeps, but the other day I was in a store and saw the purple bunny Peeps and they looked so cute and yummy. I need to buy some. Though, when I do I will probably take one bit and say "ewww! yuck" but I will try them out anyway. I don't see how something so cute could be yucky anyway. The actual real Peeps, the ones shaped as chicks freak me out though, those look very unappetizing.

On Friday I suffered through a mega boring 2 hour long meeting. By the end of it I felt so sick, and rather than toss my cookies all over my cubicle I decided I would just leave work early, so a little bit after 2:30 I went home. When I got there I checked the mail and noticed a box addressed to Cory and the return address was yesasia. I posted about yesasia on the 11th. Cory noticed my post and he was so sweet and picked out some wonderful candy for me. I wasn't expecting it at all :)

I didn't want to open it before he got there, so I laid in bed with my doggy until he got home and we opened it up and inside the box was glorious asian candy. I don't even know what they were called but there were 2 tubes of wafer-like strawberry flavored candy, a little box of weird rice candy that tastes either like ginger ale or lemon-lime, and also a bag of some candy made by sanrio that came with CUTE sanrio stickers, and it's very good candy. They taste a little bit like a mix between cereal and ice cream! Yum. I'm in love. The candy is all packaged so cute too. Why isn't american candy so cute? It might taste good but it's usually so boring. This candy is fun to eat AND fun to look at. I think this is my new obsession.

And don't I have the sweeeeetest boyfriend in the world? Ordering me secret candy for no reason at all?! :) And how perfect was it that it came in the mail the day I came home from work feeling like crap! Usually Cory gets home first so it was strange that I was the one there to get the mail.

Sweet boys...and sweet candy.... so wonderful. :)

It's snowing ........ again!

It looks like someone is shaking the contents of a huge down pillow all over the city. Big white downy fluffs floating about. The flakes are huge. Looks like I am in one huge snowglobe, or am I really just a teeny tiny person in a teeny tiny building that is actually inside of a real average sized snowglobe? Though, if that were true then what I consider to be an average sized snowglobe would actually be a teeny tiny snowglobe!

*zoinks*

Anyway, as much as I grumble about the snow, I have to admit it's pretty!

I usually hate my job, but sometimes I have to admit it really is great. For example, yesterday I didn't do ANYTHING! Seriously, I did absolutely no work because there wasn't any to do! It can make for a long day, but thanks to the internet I was entertained for 8 hours. Really how many people can say they get paid to do nothing? Not many! Though, I don't get paid all that much considering I have been working here for over 4 years.

A big percentage of yesterday I spent trying to sort through college and tax info. I have been saying this & putting it off forever but I am definitely going back to school in the Fall 2004 semester, as long as I can get financial aid & loans if need be. My plan at the moment is to get an associates degree in Small Business Management from Herkimer County Community College. I will be taking the classes completely online through SUNY Learning Network. The concept of getting a college degree from a college that you never even have to physically step foot in is crazy and wonderful because I think taking online classes will be much better for me. If I continue to work full time while I am in school it would be too hard to get to classes at a local college after work because my work hours aren't always definite. Sometimes I get stuck here until 5:30 or 6:00 and sometimes I have even been here until 6:30 depending on our work load, so being at a class at a certain time of night just wouldn't work for me.

If things work out I MIGHT possibly be able to quit my job and either not work at all, or just work part time. Though, I would have to get rid of my car if I did that because I wouldn't be able to make the payments, so online classes would still work best for me in that case. After I get my associates degree I plan on going for another degree, but that remains to be seen.

Filling out the FAFSA forms for college can ge so aggravating. I have to do some more work on them today so I can file them ASAP before all of the financial aid is snapped up!

You know what I am really interested in lately? Foreign candy! Especially Asian candy! I am a lover of all things candy, especially when it comes in cute packaging. Asian candy just looks so much more interesting and fun than American candy does.

I can't wait until I have some extra money in the bank so I can buy a bunch for myself. I'm going to be like a kid in a candy store. Hahaha. Sorry, bad joke. :)

yesasia has a ton of candy to choose from. I don't know how I will ever decide what to buy.

Asian Food Grocer also has some candy and other fun stuff. Check it out - Hello Kitty pineapple flavored jelly candy... almost too cute to eat!! :)

The Old Sweet Shop is a real candy store in the UK, with lots of yummy looking stuff but I don't know if they ship to the US or not. Still fun to look at their site though!

Yummmmm..... candy.

Ok, new comments are up! Woot! :)

Yay for HaloScan! Let's see how long it is until they decide to get rid of their free service.

AGGHGHGHGHGH!!!!!!!!!!

I can't win!! I just typed a post about how I was angry that I got to work this morning & found out that the stupid place I had an account with for my blog comments has decided to get rid of free accounts, so the only way I can keep my comments is if I pay, which I'm not going to do because I have a million other things I need to be paying for and blog comments are at the very bottom of that list right now! I knew they were eventually going to get rid of the free service, but I didn't know when exactly because I don't think they gave a specific date. So, I didn't know my comments were gone until I just tried to read one that someone left on my last post that I hadn't had the chance to read yet, so whoever left that comment yesterday I'm sorry! I didn't get to read it. :(

I was also ranting about how I woke up late, there is a bunch of damn snow on the damn ground just when I thought it had all melted away for good, and there was a detour on the way to work which caused me to get to work even later than I already would have been....

so all of that and THEN I hit post & publish for that post and of course Blogger eats it up & I get some error message and my post was gone.... so hear I am retyping it and even more angry. Grrrr. I hate Monday!

*sorry sorry sorry!! I feel bad. All of my posts lately are me being angry & ranting about stuff. No one likes reading this stuff, including me. I need to think happy thoughts before I post here :p I am going to make a big effort for my next post here not to be so gloomy!

I'm mad!

I was looking at my tracking program for this site because it's fun to see how people found their way to my blog, and I noticed people kept getting here because my page is listed on some site as a place to find N*u*d*i*e pics of some girl also named Sarah. I don't know how my page got listed under those results. But I'm mad because I don't need a bunch of pervs coming here.

I don't know how I can go about getting myself unlisted from that directory either. I'm not sure if it's something I voluntarily submitted my page to or not, but no matter how it got there I never intended it to be listed as THAT type of page. Obviously there are no n*u*d*e w*o*m*e*n here! So if that's what you are looking for......scram!

So ... did everyone hear that Martha Stewart was found guilty? I am shocked. Seemed like things might go in her favor. I feel a little bit bad for her. She is a very talented person, but I guess if she was really breaking the law then she deserves to be punished for it.

Hmm.... Martha behind bars. Saturday Night Live is going to have a field day with this.

Schroeder
You are Schroeder!

I like Schroeder so that's a strange coincidence that he was my quiz result. :)

My weekend went by too fast. I spent most of it cleaning my house, though it doesn't seem to look any cleaner than it did before I started cleaning!

I also did my taxes online. Between Federal & State I owe over $800!!!! AGGHGHHHH!!! I can't believe it. It's all because I claim 2 for some reason instead of zero, and because I had a 2nd job part time last year at Lowes & I must have been claiming something other than zero there too. So now I owe all of this money and I am broke all the time so I can't even pay it. I'm going to have to do a payment plan giving the Feds $30 per month until I pay it off, but the $200 I owe to the state can't be put on a payment plan so somehow I am going to have to scrounge up that amount of money by April. This sucks. I'm 23 years old. I shouldn't be in major debt, broke all of the time, AND owe the government almost $1000!!!

So yeah, I'm not such a happy camper.

Cory is getting money back, which we could use to pay my taxes with but it makes more sense for us to use his refund to fix up stuff in our house so we can put it up for sale. Hopefully we can make a big profit off the house so we can pay off all of our debts and live like normal people in their 20s! But, that all really depends on how much we can sell our house for.

Hmm...well this post was no fun.

Oh, I did watch Matchstick Men on DVD this weekend. It's a good movie! Watch it if you haven't seen it yet :)
